Frequently Asked Questions (and Answers!)
Q. Do you have space to rent for meetings or parties?A. We have a hall and a meeting room on the lower level of the building that can be rented. The cost is determined by the size of the group who will be using the space. It can be rented during the daytime or evening when Cabrini events are not scheduled. The hall can be rented for receptions or large parties. No alcohol is allowed to be served by parties renting Cabrini space. Call Peggy in the office for more details. office@cabrinimn.org
Q. What are the requirements to get married at your church?
A. If you are a member of the parish, you should contact the office to see about the availability of the date. Then talk to the pastor about his availability. He will tell you if he is available and what the requirements are to hold your wedding here. If you have another priest or deacon whom you want to preside, you may confirm the date in the office.
If you are Catholic and not a member of the parish, you are expected to arrange for your own priest or deacon to preside. Your presider will be responsible for your preparation for marriage.
Q. I want to have my child baptized. What do I have to do?
A. We baptize children in the parish four times a year. Baptisms are held on Easter Sunday, summer (June/July), fall (October) and early January. Other than Easter, the dates are not fixed, and are sometimes determined based on requests from families.
Our deacon, Mickey Friesen, works with the parents to prepare for the baptism.
Q. Do you have confession at your parish?
A. We have a Communal Reconciliation Service two times a year - during Advent and during Lent. Arrangements may be made with the pastor for individual confession.
